Jorvick was a bulletin board which ran on the central multi-user computer system at the University of York from about 1986 until the final decommissioning of the VAXCluster in summer 1995.

Over the years, a loose-knit community grew up around the bulletin board itself, the associated talker, and the terminal rooms (especially G/169, depicted above) and nearby college snackbars (Goodricke in particular). Many of us keep in touch to this day.

This site is intended to provide information and nostalgia about, and for, Jorvickers of old.
